good decision, but they should have been consequent and let the ban start right after his last race (TdR).

bit weird that they say January 1st and then le him keep his results, but I can live with that, knowing he'll be gone for 18 months

Valverde finally suspended. He will be stripped for his results from 1 January 2010. I guess this is complicated legal matters, so this was probably as good as we could anticipate.
Have Valverde already received his money prizes from races in 2010 (Paris-Nice, Tour de Romandie etc)? If yes, I bet he will never pay this money back....

As expected, Pietro Caucchioli (ex-Lampre) has been given a two-year suspension due to irregular blood values in his biological passport. He will be banned from all racing until June 17, 2011.

Winner of the 2008 Tour de France and the 2009 Vuelta a España fantasy games!

Pellizotti has been suspended for 2 years..
It's sad, I liked him as a rider.
