Rolf Sørensen stretches a hand towards Riis - if Riis tried to build up a team around the Danish riders, he'd love to be a part of it.
I think that could be very interesting, and I'd love if it that happened - Rolf is excellent working with the young riders, and Riis has the foundation for a very interesting project.
Could this be an option? Would be very exciting

That's also a point. Last year was a real desaster. They tried to give the riders a lot of freedom (in training camps, off season) and they failed. It was said, that they will change it for 2010, but the results doesn't approve this step. It looks a bit to me, that Henn only was a fall guy (by degrade him).
One (or almost the only one) race I remember they performed well (also tactically) was this year's Tour Down Under. |

I don't think they would work well together. I have no doubt about the respect they have for each other, but they are very different personalities. Allthough if Riis ever got the big budget to start a RB style youth team Rolf may be a good man to lead it. |

I really hope the lux team will have succes, I think it is amaizing to see the impact Bjarne has on the cycling world, it would be like a little brother. I wish them luck.
I Really dont understand you and other guys wishing Kim "Judas" Andersen the best of luck with his lux team???
For christ sake, the man went behind Riis´s back and signed the 2 most important drivers on the team, and is in talks with other support drivers as well.
In worst case the bakebone og this team can break off and leave, because of what Nygaard and Andersen has been doing behind Riis´s back !
And you guys wish them there best luck?? Jesus chris, your not true Riis Cycling Fans !

I'm with Barbarossa 100%....and I think it'd be an interesting idea to start a youth team...or maybe even a woman's team?
so along these lines, do you think our DS's will all stay with us (Dan, Bradley, and Torsten)? And, didn't we have a female soigneur--where did she go?
Milram does seem certainly doomed, though Ciolek does seem to prefer Columbia: (cyclingnews) The end of Team Milram is beginning to look ceratin after Nordmilch AG said it will not continue its sponsorship. Team manger Gerry van Gerwen had asked the dairy product company to remain for another year.
“They told me again, 'We will not make any futher sponsorship',” van Gerwen told the German news agency dpa on Tuesday.
The Dutchman is not ready to give up all hope , though. “I cannot imagine that I won't have a team in 2011,” he said, adding that he is still geting telephone inquiries about the team's future.
Meanwhile, the riders have started looking for teams for the coming season. Linus Gerdemann said that he is holding talks with other teams. Sprinter Gerald Ciolek is said to have an offer from his former team HTC-Columbia, which he called an “interesting alternative.”

Youth team would be excellent - I remember Riis worked on that on several occasions in the beginning, and again with GLS had to close

You may form your own opinion but I cannot see how you can say I'm not a true fan, just because I'm not *fanatic*. I think that it is a shame that the Schlecks will leave the team but that dosen't mean that I stop liking them(?)
I think your way of thinking brings similarities to the rediculius fighting of FCK and Brøndy (Danish soocer teams) where the fans "hate" eachother, I'm sorry that is just not my stile. I think you act like a spoiled child. Also remember that the future was anything but bright when they started talking of a lux team. We also have "stolen" other teams riders, we stole Sastre from Once and Tyler from US Postal, it's part of the cycling world
btw: Who is this Jesus Chris you are talking about?

Agreed but I don't think that we have the finances for this, but hope we will someday. If so I think Rolf Sørensen would be a natural leader in such a team.

I dont hate other cycling fans because they support a different cycling team or riders that changes team, that´s a part of the sport.
But when i see an employee that has worked against the team´s best interst and lied to his boss about his true intention for several months, yes then i get angry.
Would you liked to be lied to and mislead in several month, so someone close to you could take advantage of your trust??
i dont, and that is completly how i feel about the case with the brothers and Andersen.
and please dont call me a spoiled child please, lets keep the lvl of debat a little higher ok?

how's it a "higher level of debate" if you say that those who continue to support the Schlecks should they leave for sure are not true Saxo fans?
for me, I was angry and disappointed when i heard of what all went on with Anderson, etc., but in the end, such is how cycling works. I love Saxo first and foremost. A big part of Saxo right now is the Schlecks. When they leave, I'll wish them luck and like I said elsewhere, I'll realize that should they succeed, it will largely based on lessons learned from Riis' direction the past few years.
It's possible to support/like other people outside of Saxo while still remaining a loyal Saxo fan...

I don't see it quite that way, I thimk that Kim did as most people would. If I got an offer like that, for when my job ended I would take it, but still do my current job. Espesially if I wasn't certain that my current employer would still be around later.
I don't think that much would have changed for the better, by KA telling earlier, as he has performed a valueble role for the team during the first half of the season. Also the Schelcks have had their focus on the tour, it's not like the won't do their best (or Andys best) in the current tour because they probably will ride for another team next year.

i believe in honesty all the way around. I dont have a problem with people leaving the team, and i understand why Andersen want to start his own team, i just wish he and the brothers had played with open cards, its not good that riis´s can read in the newspapers that his 2 most important drivers and his most trusted sportsdirector is planing to leave the time, with out first telling riis about it.
Riis derserved better, and i have lost very much for the brothers and andersen because of this. maybe that gives you a better understading why i dont wish them the best of luck?

I`m sceptical about this, but if that were true it would mean a very strong partner... And it could mean the team might be interested in a few of the German Milram guys like Knees, Ciolek and Wegmann... |
