Did Bjarne Riis COST Andy Schleck the 2010 Tour de France??? Was the Riis decision to use SRAM components (clearly inferior to Campagnolo and Shimano) the reason Schleck dropped his chain at a crucial moment in the race, or was it the team mechanics fault??? Hopefully Riis will dump SRAM for next year. Andy Schleck should demand twice as much money from SRAM for endorsing their Tour de France LOSING product. When the History of the Tour de France is written will it be Contador's decision to attack after clearly noticing Schleck had a mechanical FAILURE be the DECISIVE MOMENT???--- And if it is, what is the culpability of SRAM??? SRAM should be forced to provide answers. And on a better note, great ride---- and congrats to Andy Schleck for riding a great TOUR.
Mechanical problem using SRAM cost 39 seconds
Contador's decision to attack when Schleck after mechanical failure gained 39 seconds.
CONTADOR WINS TOUR by 39 seconds!!! |

and Andy was strangely lazy on the prologue wwhich costed him 42 seconds to Contador! And Andy didnt attack when he was clearly the strongest on the Avoriaz stage. To me he lost the Tour HIMSELF!

Back again.
Andy was not lazy on the prologue, but he had a bad day. On Avoriaz Contador was not good, but he already reacted on a few attacks. So if Andy went earlier I think Contador could have followed him.

erm wasn't contador using SRAM? Just think when they do the press conference to apologise for how crap their components are, they can file off the stage, walk around the back and then come back on the other side with Contador and tell everyone how great they are
Honesty is the best Policy!!

Thats an interesting rumor, but I find it hard to see Mapei coming back into the sport sponsoring any thing but an Italian team.
If it happens and they provide the cash, lets try to break the Liquigas contact and go for Nibali.
Their jersey was nice, it was supposed to illustrate ceramic tile, to represent the mortar and setting materials Mapei manufactures for the constrution industry. |
