Don't have any idea if the rumors of the new Team BOSS/De Rosa is true? ----but it would be pretty cool---don't you think? TEAM BOSS just sounds bad-ass!!!!

What do you mean that Petacchi and Di Luca didn't ride "real" De Rosa bicycles. Where is your proof?? De Rosa custom built a De Rosa for Petacchi with regular geometry, and Di Luca rode and won on the advanced issue De Rosa King 3 RS before they were available to the public. BDC forum IT has a thread showing photos the Petacchi bicycles as they were built step by step in the De Rosa factory. Please do some research before throwing out slanderous accusations. Cancellara would probably have won Flanders and Roubaix in even more of a convincing fashion in 2010 had he been riding a De Rosa instead of Specialized.

I appreciate, that the bike is only a very, very small factor in winning races or perform well and I am everything but a Specialized fan.
I can't imagine, that De Rosa has the financial potential to sponsor a top cycling team.

I don't like these kind of possible sponsor speculations, because it's often nothing but hot air.
Hopefully we will get facts in July.

This is fantastic news! I guess Specialized are pretty certain that the team will succeed in landing a new sponsor deal, otherwise it would be pointless to prolong the contract at this point of the season.

They are just continuing the contract. They signed on for 3 years in 2009.

Riis is still certain they'll sign a sponsor before the Tour - interesting - the Tour starts on Saturday!

Next week could be interesting...

http://sporten.tv2.dk/cykling/article.php/id-31698034:saxo-bank-fyrer-kim-andersen.html

Kim Andersen gets fired from Saxobank, and has a new Pro Tour team in the works, cooperating with Brian Nygaard.

I wonder what this will mean for the Tour, and last but not least what this will do to the Schleck brothers future on the team? :)

If Kim Andersen is working on something in Luxemborg, you can be sure that the Schlecks are in on it too. Im really starting to think that this is the end of this team.

I don't think its the end of the team - but they might have to start over once again, building a team around the many Danish talents + Richie Porte

You might be right. If Fuglsang continues his progress he might be a top 10 contender for the TDF 2011. But that's a heck of a difference when Andy wins!

And I'm still sad about Kim Andersen leaving - not just because he's a compatriote, but I honestly rate him a top level DS, maybe one of the best there is.

It would still be an awesome team with Fuglsang, Breschel, Canc as captains, if Riis can find a sponsor.

It just looks to me, like Riis is pretty pissed off by what Andersen is doing. Hopefully it won't divide the team in the Tour. Such a terrible news, let's hope that Andersen won't steal e.g. Cancellara away too.
