If by values you mean that contador is not a team player i have a hard time grasping where that image comes from. If you are referring to the operation puerto link we crossed that bridge in the Schleck case.

Its bizzare but i think its the new Luxe team you will be the next Saxo team with Frank, Andy, Jakob, Stuey, Fabian. All our best riders will go their. I think we will all support the Luxe and Danish teams.

So let me get this straight, the lux team gets the Schleckies, giving Andy the salary his results now warent. Frank will probably be given an equal pay bump. Then they hire several saxo riders, also to a higher salary. Then they have to fill up the rest of the team with strong helpers. AND then on top of that they are now hiring the salary heavy Cancellara and the support riders he would be needing for the northern classics.

I guess what I am asking is this: "When did their sponsor start to **** money?"

Who ever said that Canc is going to the new Lux team?
The guy has a contract for next year, he ain't leaving! Riis has new sponsors, do you really think that he'll lose all his big riders?
Riis is an incredibly good team builder, he'll always have a strong team if he has the money.

I still want to know how much money the new sponsor is putting in. Andy should tripple his salery and Frank at least dobble and then you will have Fabian on top of that. I don't believe any team can afford that. The only reason they are on the same team now is that Schleckies are underpaid.

I hope you're lying

You have to understand that I don't immediately believe a guy who doesn't have that many posts on this forum and claims something as big as Canc going to the Lux team without even giving his source.

It seems like there can be a danger with too many teams. The big gamble for the Schlecks and Cancellara in going to a new team (assuming it will not necessarily be granted a PT license) would be that they aren't gauranted a spot at the Tour or classics that are their respective goals.

Over the last few years we have seen a big increase of new teams coming into the sport; Cervelo, BMC, RadioShack, Sky.

It may be a good thing indicating that sponsors are willing to put up money. But at what point will this become a problem? The UCI and ASO can still be expected to battle for control of the calenders and who gets to invite teams to the big races.

All of these new teams have tried to secure "big name" riders with previous results hoping to get a spot, but that can only work for so many.

With an increasing number of top teams, can the available pool of talent really produce enough riders to fill out all of the rosters? If not this will just continue the trend where some of the ones with the biggest bugets dominate.

It may have a nice effect of fostering a quicker modification or elimination of the ProTour.

I don't see how a team with the Schlecks will not be invited to the Tour de France. Dont forget Milram will be gone next year and no one knows if Radio Shack will survive the federal investigations coming.

You may or may not be right, but I agree with Sander---what's the point in coming here to say it if you're not willing to site evidence? You could just as easily be guessing, then if it happens, you can claim to "have said so all along," and if it doesn't happen, you can claim, "it fell through at the last minute."

See, when others around here post things they've heard (rumors or just not substantiated yet), they site their source to be taken seriously, but whatever.

Kxtr:
And in the absence of Caisse, also, no? So that's two teams gone.....

I know Vacansoleil has applied for a Pro Tour license (http://www.vacansoleilcyclingteam.co.uk/nieuws/vacansoleil-pro-cycling-team-aims-for-pro-tour-license-pt-for-2011.html haha look moiida....a source!), but that still leaves one. And, even if Lux is "just" a professional team, I'm thinking yes, they'd still get big invites.

Now that's a clear answer.

I'm still in doubt though, sorry, but you might be just a guy making this up.
